Some of you may get things misconstrued and ask for truth but dont have the strength to digest it. So here we are.. again!
What is Transparency?
I like to think it is when someone doesn't feel the need to hold back and unwinds their truth like a film clip on a old school projector. You don't have to ask. They just let it roll off their tongue. I suppose there is peace in that. I mean, If You don't mind what the end results are. Some good comes from being transparent at jobs and around like minded individuals. Transparency people can be trusted, too. Some are real genuine folks. You dont ever have to ask they are going to tell you who will all be at a Thanksgiving Dinner before you even wonder it. Then on the other hand, there's chaos riding amongst it too. The downfall of always being so open and clear from jump. It may come a time you have exposed too much to those that perhaps envy you or admire your approach on life. Now look, you may have overshared all your most precious and valuable gems to a hater or a thief. Excuse me, But I don't want anyone telling my life's story but me. So what's your question...
What is Honesty?
Private until Prompted with a question. It allows you to interpret the question as a whole and give the truth as a fact to those you think can be trusted with your answer. Depending on the questions led after the original, you'll know if this person is someone that can carry your truth with respect and uphold both of yall characters on a pedestal. Yeah, Character is what makes the person visible to others. So if Honesty is a characteristic you have, i believe trust would go hand in hand with it. Someone could take an honest person as someone who is reserved and has boundaries. Others, May feel it is a secretive approach and feel you have something to hide.
So ask yourself, Would you want to be around someone that is transparent or Honest. I feel one, you can trust and the other one cant hold water for too long. One overshares freely and the other is disciplined. Although Transparency can be seen as a sincere trait to have, How many of you wish you hadn't told people too much about yourself? How many of you are more reserved when asked because you believe in a private lifestyle. For some reason i think when i hear people say they are transparent. I always vision they are the ones dancing and smiling eager and ready to answer the most craziest things when they see paparazzi. While the honest folks are closing all their blinds and leaving their home in a hoodie when no one's looking. I guess both can be seen as Boundaries vs Boldness perhaps.
So just something to think about whether it's in the work place or personal life. Would you define yourself as a Transparent Person or an honest person?
